Polar Norway Exhibition

The Polar Norway Exhibition was a climate change event which was held by RCCC UI in collaboration with International Office UI and Norway Embassy in Indonesia. The exhibition was held from 26 September to 13 October 2011. The main aim was to publicize the global impact of climate change especially in the polar region and Indonesia.

The event which took place in Central Library UI was consisted of exhibition and general lectures featuring national and international researcher on climate change. One of the lecture was given by a Norway famous writer, Jostein Gaarder who wrote an international bestseller book entitled 'Sophie's World', with his seminar topic 'Human Rights and Human Obligation: What can be Done to Address Climate Change?'.

The event was opened by Erik Solheim (Norway Ambassador for Indonesia), Mohammad Nuh (Minister of National Education and Culture), and Prof. Gumilar R. Somantri (Rector of UI).
