Indogreen Forestry Expo is an annual exhibition held in Jakarta since 2009. The exhibition, started from April 11 to 14, 2014, was mainly supported by ministry of forestry of Indonesia in order to offer the opportunity and potency in the forestry sector. Besides, the exhibition also came with the socialization of programs and acclompishments from government and private companies in establishing the continously forest development including forest reclamation and quarry.
The exhibition was attended by more than 150 participants from various government and private sector. The widely well-known exhibitor include Perhutani, CIFOR, Ragunan Zoo, Sinar Mas corporation, Pertamina, and national parks from around Indonesia. RCCC UI was also participate in the exhibition with the main aim to promote the idea of reducing carbon emission through simple daily activities. The idea was introduced in the form of photo booth where visitors were explained about carbon emission and how to reduce it, so then they could chose an action based on provided choices which written on a carton, known as commitment card, and photographed while holding their card of choice. Another agenda was to introduced the program of certificate training entitled Climate Change Mitigation-Adaptation and Sustainable Innovative Financing on Forestry. The program is currently run under joint-venture of RCCC UI and Center for Environment, Economy, and Society – Columbia Univesity (CEES CU) with financial support from USAID.
