"Harmonizing Production Landscape and Conservation in the Era of Climate Change" by Prof. Chris Margules

Prof. Chris Margules is a researcher from Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia. His field of studies include environmental conservation and biodiversity of forest (terrestrial) and sea (aquatic) ecosystem. Besides, Chris Margules also work at Conservation International (CI) as Executive Director of Melanesia Center for Biodiversity Conservation.

In his lecture entitled "Harmonizing Production Landscape and Conservation in the Era of Climate Change", Prof. Chris Margules stated about the importance of harmonization in utilizing landscape for production and conservation, also the study of landscape utilization with sustainable development concept. The lecture which took place at Central Library UI on 12 August 2011 has been attended by 180 participants from various government institution, private company, NGO, and student.
