The seminar entitled "Benefit Sharing of Forest Utilization: Alternative Financing for Indigenous Communities and the Environment" was held by collaboration of RCCC UI, Columbia University, and USAID. Featuring top speakers of Harry Alexander, S.H., M.H., LLM and Dr. A. Hadi Pramono, this seminar was conducted on Monday, 16 December 2013 at room 5B Central Library, UI campus.
Moderated by Lydia Napitupulu, the seminar was running smooth yet intense with discussions between both speakers and participants which approximately reaching 40 persons originated from various sector (government, private, and NGO).
The first presentation was brought by Dr. A. Hadi Pramono. He exposed about the administration right difficulties and uncertainties upon local people forest rightship even under the existence of government constitutional laws. On the other hand, Harry Alexander explained about the necessity of forest rightship for local people and the benefit sharing of global carbon trade.
